One of our business values is ‘Protect the planet’ - it has been since the company was formed in 2014. Our standard practice is to create greener, more sustainable events and communications for our clients.
What is the issue anyway?
You don't need us to tell you that humans are having a devastating impact on the planet. There are many issues that need addressing before it’s too late. We all need to act. We can all do our bit to change our behaviours. Corporate events are a heavy contributor to unnecessary environmental damage. Events put pressure on natural resources, local infrastructure and the environment, often generating significant waste and additional carbon.

The UK events industry emits over 1.2 billion kg of CO2e every year.
An average of 40% food prepared for events is wasted (sometimes as much as 60%).
Each conference delegate is responsible for an average 176kg of CO2e emissions.
Roller banners account for 550 tonnes of PVC landfill waste, with only 1% recycled.

We want to minimise our contribution to unnecessary environmental damage. That is why we developed and implemented our sustainable events playbook that helps us achieve this. We call it Plan it First.
We put the planet first by planning to eliminate harmful products or techniques as part of our corporate events and comms service. We believe that, with proper planning and consideration, we can continue to produce high quality events and comms that do not impact our precious world. Being prepared, planning for a better outcome and adopting a mindset that always challenges to do better is a win for everyone.
The playbook has been in development for many years and draws on our experience of challenging how things are done and disrupting a harmful industry. However, we don't only look at how we do things. We encourage suppliers, clients, partners, freelancers and all staff to adopt the same mindset to collectively contribute to a more sustainable world by planning events that don’t harm the planet.
